Education Initiative
Each area we visit has its own unique set of educational needs. In this initiative, our goal is to ultimately provide well equipped classrooms where learning can be facilitated. This includes supplying schools with textbooks, desks, pencils, uniforms or any other needed supplies. In many areas, schools also require additional or improved buildings to meet the needs of the students and educators. This can include the building or renovation of dormitories, classrooms and school kitchens. The school and village may also not have access to any clean water and would benefit from having a water well. It is also often necessary to provide teacher housing as an incentive to attract teachers to remote or rural schools. Each area's unique needs are determined during our visits. We are also contacted by other non profits working in the region that approach us about supporting their educational initiatives. For example, once a school is built it often needs more classrooms or supplies to make the school functional. We evaluate each need and determine where we can have the greatest positive impact on children's education.
